Our work

Impact Areas

We seek to establish more inclusive and equitable governance and management of forests and trees in three impact areas. Across these impact areas, we pay particular attention to Responsible Business and Finance, Gender equality and Youth engagement, and Locally Responsive Policies.

Responsible Business and Finance

We believe that larger funds need to flow to local people working
for climate-resilient landscapes so that their businesses can
compete in the market on equal terms. We work to increase
smallholder access to finance by removing barriers and
designing innovative and locally adapted financial mechanisms.

Gender and Youth

We believe that young people and all genders must equally participate in designing and implementing climate-resilient solutions that reflect their interests and equitably share the benefits. We work to mainstream youth strategies, gender responsive and gender transformative action in all
our activities and programmes.
