Cookies and privacy policy

We use cookies for our website. You can read below what cookies are, why we use them and how you can use them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that we send with the pages of our website. Your browser stores these files on the hard drive of your computer, tablet or mobile phone. The stored information in these files is returned to our servers on each subsequent visit.

Types of cookies

For our website we use 1. technical cookies, 2. tracking cookies and 3. cookies from social media.

  1. Technical cookies
A technical cookie facilitates your visit to our website. With these cookies, for example, we remember for users their login code and password.
  2. Tracking cookies
With Google Analytics, we record website visit data. We do this for our own website.
Google Analytics works with tracking cookies. If a visitor does not allow cookies Google will register on the basis of IP addresses
Using tracking cookies, Google Analytics can track how visitors end up on a website and what they exactly do. This concerns data such as: number of unique visitors, number of visits, number of page views, average visit duration, viewed pages and search terms in Google.
The tracking cookies that Google Analytics uses are so-called first-party cookies; they only follow the visitor behaviour on the website itself.
For our statistics program and our website we emphatically do not use third-party cookies. Third-party cookies are cookies that allow visitors to follow the behaviour of different websites. Advertising networks in particular make use of this. The Dutch cookie law focuses primarily on these third-party cookies.
  3. Cookies for social media
On our website we refer via buttons to social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn. These buttons work with a piece of code that comes from the source itself. Cookies are placed with this code. We have no influence on this. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of Twitter and other social networks, to find out what they do with the information they obtain through these cookies.
Moreover, the information collected by the social networks mentioned is transferred to and stored on servers in the United States. The aforementioned networks are affiliated with the Safe Harbour program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.

Usefulness of cookies
We use technical cookies to facilitate the use of our website and statistics program. With the data we collect with Google Analytics (via our tracking cookie) we continuously improve our website and online marketing. With the buttons for social media (and associated cookies) we show that we are also active through these channels.

We attach great importance to the privacy of our customers and visitors.
For the sake of clarity: a cookie does not remember name, address, telephone number, age or other personal data. The cookies used by us only remember your browsing habits.

The information provided by you through the contact form and publication order form is not kept in any form. As soon as your request has been processed we delete any information you have provided.

Remove, enable and disable cookies
We appreciate it very much if you allow us to use cookies. With technical cookies we ensure that you can better use our website and statistics program. With our tracking cookie we improve our website and service.

If you do not want Google Analytics to place tracking cookies on your computer, you can adjust your browser settings. You can adjust this so that cookies are refused.

Information about removing and enabling and disabling cookies can be found on the website of the Consumers' Association and in the manual and help function of your browser.
