This infographic shows the strategy used by Instituto Boliviano de Investigación Forestal (IBIF) for an integrated fire management. IBIF designed a process of institutional strengthening in themunicipalities of Ascensión de Guarayos and Urubichá, to improve capacitiesfor risk management focused on the prevention and reduction of forest firerisks. This process included technical assistance in participatory formulationand implementation of management tools, adaptation and establishment ofregulations, promotion and facilitation of risk analysis, spaces for dialogue and articulation of local actors, and generation and access to information forreflection and action.
